Overview

Flipper is the maker of Flipper Zero, a portable device for tech enthusiasts and engineers with a community of millions of people. It is now building Flipper One, a full-featured ARM-based Linux computer in a compact form factor powered by the Rockchip RK3576 chip, and has decided to make the whole development process open and public. The company is hiring a full-time Developer Portal and Community Manager to own the Flipper One Developer Portal. The position is fully remote from anywhere in the world.

The Developer Portal is a public wiki plus a set of GitHub projects that document how Flipper One works as a whole, explain the architecture of its subsystems and give contribution guides for each sub-project. Anyone reading it should come away understanding the project structure, each feature and what is being built. This is not a content manager role: the person must understand the development process, track ongoing tasks and connect the team with the community.

Responsibilities include owning and developing the portal, turning internal context into clear public documentation and updates, joining team calls to keep a complete picture of the project, translating technical discussions into plain language without losing accuracy, moderating community comments, pull requests and contributions, filtering spam, helping users give useful feedback, gathering community signals for the team, and keeping the portal structured and current.

Requirements

Candidates should write clearly and concisely and be able to show examples such as guides, READMEs or how-tos. They need a basic understanding of hardware, software and development workflows including Git, commits, branches and pull requests, the ability to explain complex topics simply and sketch flowcharts, strong verbal communication, comfort working with engineers, and the judgement to separate useful feedback from noise. Genuine interest in developer-facing products, hardware, documentation, open communities and building in public is expected, along with proficiency in Russian and English. Experience in DevRel, technical writing, community operations or editorial work, and with wikis or developer portals, is a plus.
