Senior Director Functional Planning & Transformation

Overview

Excelya is seeking a Senior Director Functional Planning & Transformation to drive the design and implementation of planning capabilities as part of a major enterprise transformation program. Working in this role, the appointee acts as a planning expert, leading cross-functional workshops, defining scalable planning frameworks, and ensuring alignment between business functions, governance structures, and portfolio management processes. Visa sponsorship may be offered for suitable candidates.

Requirements

Applicants need strong experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, life sciences, healthcare, or related industries, along with a strong background in drug development, portfolio management, project management, or planning transformation. Candidates must have a proven track record of leading cross-functional planning initiatives and strategic workshops, as well as expertise in planning methodologies, portfolio governance, Work Breakdown Structures, milestone frameworks, and operating models. Familiarity with planning and PPM tools such as OnePlan, Planisware, Planview, Clarity, or Microsoft Project is required. The role also demands excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills, the ability to work independently and influence senior leaders in complex environments, and fluent English.
