Quality Manager- Manufacturing Operations

Overview

Fractile is seeking a Quality Manager for its Manufacturing Operations team based in the UK. Founded in 2022, the company designs hardware and systems to radically accelerate the speed and scale of frontier AI models. This position is a key part of the manufacturing operations group, driving business management systems alongside product, supplier, software, and customer quality initiatives. The role involves assessing processes and technologies to identify quality gaps and delivering practical solutions across the company.

Requirements

Applicants must have significant experience in quality roles within semiconductors or electronics hardware, including creating and leading a quality function. The role requires direct experience managing quality through outsourced manufacturing such as foundries, OSATs, test houses, and contract manufacturers. Candidates need deep knowledge of ISO 9001 and hands-on experience building or running a certified quality management system, working knowledge of semiconductor qualification and reliability, and fluency in core quality tools like 8D, FMEA, control plans, SPC, MSA, and root cause analysis. Additional requirements include experience handling customer quality escalations, a degree in a relevant discipline such as electrical or electronic engineering, materials science, or physics, clear communication skills, and willingness to travel internationally. Preferred backgrounds include experience in fabless companies, high-performance compute, software quality, and holding professional certifications like Lead Auditor ISO 9001 or Six Sigma Black Belt.
