Principal Statistician - Permanent Role -Remote in UK

Overview

ClinChoice is seeking a Principal Statistician for a permanent, remote role based in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will join an in-house team at a global full-service contract research organization to support clinical trials across a diverse client portfolio of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and consumer health companies. The position involves leading statistical activities, overseeing statistical strategy and deliverables, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including clinical, programming, data management, and regulatory departments.

Requirements

Applicants must hold an MS or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field. Candidates are required to have industry experience with clinical trials within the pharmaceutical, contract research organization, or related sectors, which must include interaction with regulatory agencies, particularly the FDA. A demonstrated understanding of statistics, the drug development process, and relevant FDA regulations is necessary. While there are no specific therapeutic area requirements, prior experience in oncology, rare disease, or neuroscience is considered advantageous. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for conveying statistical concepts, results, and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, as well as for interacting with clients.
