Overview

KnowBe4 is hiring a Graduate Data Scientist in the Cyber Analytics field, with the position located in Cheltenham, United Kingdom. The selected individual joins the KnowBe4 Threat Research Lab to create solutions and models that detect threats in target markets and products. Responsibilities include analyzing threat data, implementing technical solutions, and innovating or creating extensions to detection paradigms in an end-to-end fashion.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Physics, or a related quantitative field. Candidates need a strong working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation, along with a demonstrated ability to write clean, efficient code using Python or C#.

Additional requirements include familiarity with standard machine learning algorithms such as linear or logistic regression, decision trees, and random forests, as well as libraries like Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. Candidates must demonstrate experience in quickly learning and adapting to new areas of technology, reviewing, understanding, and reverse engineering phishing attacks and technologies, and developing detection algorithms in Python or C# to extract identifying features of phishing emails. Furthermore, applicants should understand human behavior and communications, broader attack vectors, and how attackers exploit them, while using machine learning to identify broader phishing trends and protection methods.
