Machine Learning Engineer, Memory
Overview
Epic Games is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to focus on memory architectures in London, United Kingdom. The role involves working with researchers on projects across the company to develop general solutions that allow models to represent experience, determine what to keep or discard, and efficiently store, retrieve, and exploit memory as foundation models evolve to act over long horizons.
What you get
The position includes a comprehensive benefits package where the employer covers 100 percent of benefits except for private medical insurance for dependents. The current benefits offerings include a pension, private medical insurance, a health care cash plan, dental insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, critical illness coverage, a cycle to work scheme, flu shots, health checks, and meals. Additionally, employees receive access to a mental well-being program through Modern Health, which provides free therapy and coaching for employees and their dependents.
Requirements

Candidates need hands-on experience creating machine learning algorithms for vision and or language problems and deploying them as production-level systems. Required expertise includes foundational models and vision and or language, including local deployment and model post-training of open weights models. Candidates must also have experience in memory, state, or long-horizon behaviour in foundation models through language agents, long-context methods, reinforcement learning under partial observability, world models, or sequence modelling. Proficiency in Python and associated machine learning tools and frameworks such as numpy, scipy, sklearn, and pytorch is required, alongside experience collaborating with other developers using a flexible and agile approach.
