Lead Solutions Engineer

Overview

Exotec builds robotic warehouse solutions that combine artificial intelligence and high-performance hardware, helping retail and e-commerce brands fulfil orders while easing labour constraints and improving workplace safety. It has more than 1,000 employees worldwide and became the first industrial unicorn in France. The company is hiring a full-time Lead Solutions Engineer, mid-senior level, in charge of France within the Solutions Engineering Western Europe team. The role is remote, within France.

The lead designs high-impact, complex solutions and makes sure they are robust from concept to delivery, covering costing, risk mitigation and scalability. The person shapes customers' logistics strategies by challenging the status quo and proposing value-driven alternatives, turns customer challenges into technical sales strategies, and influences key stakeholders by explaining the value of Exotec solutions. They also work with partners and suppliers to co-create solutions, embed Exotec methodologies and support Sales through complex project leadership, act as a recognised expert in a key technical domain, and create training content and share best practice.

Travel is required: twice a month to visit clients and once a month to the headquarters near Lille.

Requirements

Exotec asks for experience selling complex solutions in a warehouse automation environment, an engineering or supply chain background with a strong record in complex solution design, and proven experience with demanding customers in a pre-sales or solution-driven setting. Strong business acumen combined with technical depth is expected, along with the ability to influence and navigate complex stakeholder environments, natural leadership and a drive to mentor others. Candidates must be fluent in French and English and comfortable in an international context.
