Overview

Quandela is a quantum computing company that designs, builds and delivers quantum solutions for research and industry, including energy-efficient quantum computers for data centres, full-stack quantum computing accessible through the cloud and algorithm access services. It has deployed industrial-grade systems since 2023 and is developing fault-tolerant quantum computers built from thousands of photonic components. The company is hiring a Cloud DevOps Engineer in Massy, France, to contribute to the infrastructure behind its cloud and software platforms.

The engineer works with the software and infrastructure teams to design, deploy and operate infrastructure across several cloud environments, with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code, automation, reliability and scalability. The work covers both day-to-day operations and the continuing evolution of the cloud architecture and DevOps practices. Responsibilities include building secure, scalable infrastructure, provisioning it through Terraform, building and improving CI/CD pipelines, running containerised workloads with Docker or Podman and Kubernetes, automating configuration and operations with tools such as Ansible, Python and Bash, monitoring availability and performance, applying networking and security practice, troubleshooting with development teams, improving observability, optimising cloud resource use and contributing to architecture decisions.

OpenStack experience is a plus. Candidates should have a master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related field, ideally three or more years of relevant experience, and professional working English.
