Overview

Kraken is one of the longest-standing crypto platforms, founded in 2011 and trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions, offering spot trading, margin, futures, staking and OTC services. Its parent company, Payward, also owns NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks. Krak is Kraken's consumer banking and payments product, building the card, payments and financial features that bring crypto into everyday life. Kraken is hiring a full-time Associate II, Product Operations for Krak in the United Kingdom. It is one of two roles in the Krak Product Ops function and reports to the Manager, Product Ops for Krak.

Product Ops at Krak is a coordination and intelligence function that makes sure cross-functional dependencies that could slow delivery are found early, actively managed and resolved. The associate works directly with compliance, legal, fraud, client engagement and external vendors so new features launch safely, and helps the team make better product decisions with operational data and market and vendor intelligence.

The role has four areas. In compliance and risk coordination, it maintains trackers of open compliance and legal items, triages new features against regulatory requirements, works with fraud leads so controls and velocity rules are built into design, makes sure fraud and client engagement teams are equipped before launches, and supports incident response. In vendor management, it maintains vendor trackers, owns the cadence of performance reviews and produces briefings on vendor roadmaps. In management information and feature performance, it ensures launches have fraud, dispute and client engagement metrics alongside commercial KPIs and drives follow-through on findings. In market intelligence, it scans competitor features, pricing and risk positioning and regulatory developments and identifies vendor capabilities that could enable new features.

Requirements

Kraken asks for three to five years in product operations, strategy or programme management in a consumer fintech, payments or banking business, ideally with a card or payments product, and strong knowledge of the regulatory and compliance landscape for consumer financial products. Candidates should have worked with fraud and risk functions, manage many workstreams at once, turn complex operational data into clear information for product and leadership teams, and communicate across compliance, risk, engineering and product. Experience with card issuing programmes, third-party banking and payments vendors, fast-scaling fintechs and crypto products is a plus.
