Working Student - Workplace Experience
Overview
Mollie, a European fintech that has helped make payments and money management easier for businesses since 2004, is recruiting a Working Student for Workplace Experience in Lisbon. More than 250,000 companies use its platform, and the company has over 950 employees across more than 14 locations.
In this independent role the student is responsible for the smooth running of the Lisbon office, keeping it clean and well stocked so colleagues have a productive and comfortable workspace. The student must also be ready to travel occasionally to other sites to support the Workplace team. The role is office based, five days a week, within core hours of 8:30 to 17:00 with some flexibility for out-of-hours events, for which time is given back.
What you will do
Tasks cover office maintenance such as daily checks, restocking snacks and kitchen supplies, looking after plants and keeping meeting rooms ready, and supply management including weekly grocery orders and dealing with vendors for groceries, coffee and catering. The student also supports facilities by liaising with the landlord and service providers, and helps with health and safety: acting as a first responder, maintaining the office self-protection measures, running annual evacuation drills, overseeing ergonomic assessments and occupational health checks and keeping compliance documentation ready for labour authority audits. Hospitality and event support, welcoming guests and new hires, helping the People team with daily requests and adapting to changing priorities complete the role.
Requirements
The company wants resilience, a sense of humour, teamwork, independence and initiative, along with experience in customer-focused work such as hospitality or office administration, ideally in a multinational office. Candidates should be willing to train as a first responder and to learn Portuguese labour law, the occupational safety framework and fire regulations. A first aid, fire warden or workplace safety technician qualification is a plus. Strong administrative skills, excellent English and Portuguese and a driving licence are needed.
What you get
Mollie offers regular feedback and performance reviews, transparent salary reviews and internal career moves. Applications are made with a CV in English.
