Software Engineer Intern - Ads
Overview
Mirakl Labs is offering a six-month Software Engineer Intern position on its Ads product in Bordeaux, France. Mirakl, founded in 2012, provides marketplace technology for retailers and B2B organisations, including an enterprise marketplace platform, AI-powered multichannel selling, retail media through Mirakl Ads and an agentic commerce infrastructure. It has dual headquarters in Boston and Paris and more than 750 employees across nine offices.
What you will do
The intern contributes to the development of an AI agent that autonomously generates and executes test scenarios, covering new feature validation, regression testing and exploratory testing. Tasks include helping design, write and run test cases that evaluate the agent, exploring different technical approaches and benchmarking their results, all under the guidance of experienced engineers and QA team members. The tech stack includes Java 21 and Spring Boot on the back end, ReactJS on the front end, Kafka, ElasticSearch and PostgreSQL, and CI/CD, Git, Docker and monitoring.
Requirements
Candidates should be pursuing a degree in software engineering, computer science or a related field, whether at an engineering school, a university or after a career change, and be looking for a six-month internship. They need first hands-on development experience from an internship, academic project, apprenticeship or personal project, a good understanding of a programming language, proficiency working with LLMs and developing skills or agents, and an appreciation of testing, clean code and design patterns. Fluent French and professional English, written and spoken, are required.
What you get
The pay range is 1,200 to 1,400 EUR per month. Visa sponsorship may be available for suitable candidates.
How to apply
The process begins with manual CV screening, followed by a 10-minute AI-powered screening conversation that must be completed within 3 days. Next come a 30-minute recruiter interview, a 45-minute technical discussion with the hiring manager and a one-hour interview with team members about values and culture. Mirakl notes that it may use AI tools to help screen applications, while final decisions are made by humans.
