Overview

Dryft is hiring a Member of Technical Staff Intern for its team in Munich, Germany. Dryft builds models that automate complex human decisions in manufacturing operations: it captures the knowledge of experienced operators across supply chain, production planning and engineering, simulates the consequences of their decisions and uses this to help run the business. Its customers include some of the largest robotics, machine and component manufacturers in the world. The team is small and talent-dense, and interns receive real ownership early on.

What you will do

The intern helps build the system that decides how large manufacturers operate, combining agent-based reasoning with mathematical optimisation and simulation on large-scale industrial data. Work includes building agents that customers can trust, including the routing, orchestration and guardrails behind them, and shipping features end to end across the LLM pipeline, infrastructure, backend and frontend, with production releases within the first weeks. The intern also sits with the planners who use the product to find what would make their work faster, and owns individual features from the first day.

Who can apply

The company is looking for a full-stack builder who has shipped production code end to end, built scalable backend and infrastructure for large amounts of structured and unstructured data, and created usable interfaces. Candidates should have built something technically hard and be able to explain every decision behind it, have product sense, care about getting things right and have a sense of urgency.

Requirements

Applicants must be fully fluent in German and English and ready to work on site in Munich, with visa support available. The tech stack includes React, Chakra UI, TanStack Router and Query, and Vite on the frontend in TypeScript, FastAPI with Pydantic, Temporal, Postgres with pgvector and dagster on the backend in Python, and Pydantic AI and Langfuse for AI.
