APAC Marketing Operations Intern (Japanese required)
Overview
Back Market is a global marketplace for refurbished devices, aiming to make technology reliable and affordable while lowering environmental impact, and says refurbished tech produces 92 percent less carbon emissions than new. It is a certified B Corp. The company is offering an APAC Marketing Operations Intern position, which requires Japanese, in Paris, France. The internship starts in January 2027, lasts six months and is full time at 35 hours a week.
The intern helps enable global marketing to be deployed for Japan and Australia. The role is not mainly about translation or task execution; the goal is to create repeatable systems that make collaboration between central marketing teams and the Asia-Pacific region easier. It combines process design, planning, documentation and cross-functional coordination.
Tasks include creating and maintaining shared calendars and documentation that give central and regional teams visibility on APAC activity, milestones, market adaptations and open decisions, defining a repeatable model for Australia to assess, adapt and reuse relevant UK marketing initiatives, clarifying the information, timelines, responsibilities and decisions needed before global initiatives can roll out in APAC, improving recurring request and handoff processes, turning ambiguous information into workflows, templates, action plans and operating documentation, and working with Marketing Operations, the APAC marketing lead and global marketing stakeholders so that agreed ways of working are adopted.
Who can apply
Applicants need native-level Japanese and fluent English. Previous marketing experience is welcome but not essential, and transferable experience from studies, student organisations, internships or projects where the candidate built processes and coordinated work is valued. Visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates.
Requirements
Back Market looks for someone who has created or improved a process, workflow, tracker, calendar, template or documentation system, writes clearly and can turn incomplete information into structured next steps, can tell when a global idea needs adaptation for Japan or Australia, and is organised, detail oriented and able to follow through across several stakeholders. Asking useful clarifying questions, raising risks constructively and interest in marketing operations or international collaboration are valued.
What you get
The internship pays 1,200 to 1,400 euros per month depending on study level. The hybrid setup includes two remote days a week, one remote work week per quarter and three flex days, plus employee resource groups with mentorship programmes.
How to apply
The process includes a 45-minute skills interview with a live case study and a 30-minute video interview with the Talent Acquisition Specialist.
