Overview

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is hiring a Development Associate, Annual Giving, in Washington, D.C. The post is full-time, job reference 26065, with a salary of $58,400 to $73,000 per year. The work is hybrid, with at least two days a week in the Washington, D.C. office. Applicants must already be legally authorized to work in the United States, as visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are not provided.

The associate supports WWF's Partners in Conservation and Leadership Partner mid-level donor programs and reports to the Director, Annual Giving. The job pairs donor-facing work with the operational processes behind annual giving.

What you will do

About 60% of the role is donor communications: handling inquiries, coordinating with other WWF teams when needed, writing by email, telephone and mail, and supporting personalized stewardship for a designated group of donors with Annual Giving officers, including correspondence and solicitation support. About 20% involves CRM database work, such as entering and validating data, preparing reports, supporting segmentation and reconciling records, while resolving data issues with fundraising operations, donor engagement and research colleagues. Around 15% is financial and administrative support, including expense reports, invoice coding, expense monitoring and travel arrangements for donor meetings and events. The rest covers other assigned tasks, and the associate may orient temporary or part-time staff.

Requirements

Applicants need a bachelor's degree, about two to four years of specific donor-relations experience and experience with a CRM system. Familiarity with Blackbaud CRM or a comparable database is an advantage. Strong writing and proofreading, flexibility and attention to detail are important.
