Overview

Earthjustice is seeking a full-time Donor Engagement Specialist, Travel to support its donor engagement and travel programme within the Donor Marketing & Engagement Team. This is a non-supervisory position requiring 37.5 hours per week. The role focuses on designing and coordinating customized multi-day travel experiences that deepen relationships with supporters, connect donors with the organization’s environmental mission, and demonstrate the impact of their contributions. Approximately 50% of the role involves trip development and coordination, including planning and executing three to four tailored travel experiences each year, conducting scoping trips, attending conferences and planning meetings, and managing related expenses and vendor negotiations.

The annual salary range for this remote position is $91,400 to $119,400 per year, with the specific pay varying based on location and experience. The salary ranges for preferred locations are $107,500 to $119,400 for San Francisco, $102,200 to $113,500 for Washington, DC, $96,800 to $107,500 for Denver, and $91,400 to $101,500 for Bozeman. Comprehensive benefits and a casual work environment are also provided.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or possess equivalent work experience, along with at least four years of experience developing multi-day travel experiences for major and principal-level funders within a nonprofit environment. Candidates need comprehensive knowledge of mission-driven travel planning, industry standards, and donor relations best practices, alongside strong written and verbal communication skills. Additional qualifications include attention to detail, strategic and creative thinking, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage complex assignments. Experience preparing budgets, negotiating vendor contracts, and using fundraising databases such as Salesforce is preferred, as is a demonstrated commitment to justice, excellence, inclusion, and partnership.
