Trading Data Software Engineer

Overview

IMC is hiring a Trading Data Software Engineer to join the Global VMM Data team based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The role involves working on a centralised global data platform that serves curated data for Valuation Market Making research and strategies. The work focuses on building central systems to ingest, curate, and expose petabytes of data to research tooling.

Who can apply

Candidates must have at least four years of experience as a software engineer. Prior knowledge of trading or capital markets is not required, but curiosity and a willingness to learn are expected.

Requirements

Applicants need strong programming skills in Java 11 or higher, with experience in the latest versions of Java being highly desirable. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux is required. Strong programming skills in Python, particularly around data, along with experience in data analysis and building out data platforms and data, are highly preferred. Candidates must also be able to work under minimal supervision, take full ownership of the applications they build, and possess strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to solve problems proactively.
