Staff Application Security Engineer
Overview
Samsara is hiring a Staff Application Security Engineer to shape the overarching technical direction for application security and vulnerability management programs. The position sits within a team that protects a vast technological footprint spanning cloud services, internal systems, and firmware running on IoT hardware in the field. This is a remote opportunity open to candidates residing in the United Kingdom.
Requirements
Applicants must have ten or more years of relevant experience as a cloud engineer or security engineer, including hands-on vulnerability management across a broad, multi-product enterprise environment. Candidates need proficiency in Go, Python, and JavaScript, alongside a strong background in Amazon Web Services cloud services. The role requires a deep understanding of Static Application Security Testing, Dynamic Application Security Testing, and Software Composition Analysis. Additional necessities include significant experience with modern vulnerability management tooling like Wiz and Semgrep, familiarity with CVSS and EPSS scoring frameworks, and practical use of artificial intelligence and large language model tooling in security workflows. Candidates must be based in the United Kingdom.
