Solutions Architect, EMEA Startups — France

Overview

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect for the EMEA Startups team focusing on France. The position is based in the Paris region and requires working on a hybrid schedule within commutable distance of the office. In this role, you will work with fast-growing digital-native companies, founders, CTOs, and technical leaders to shape modern data and AI architectures. You will handle new-logo accounts in the France, Spain, and Italy Startups segment and SMBs, while also supporting expansion opportunities in existing accounts.

Who can apply

Candidates must have at least five years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, consulting, or equivalent role. Applicants need a track record of leading technical discovery and architecture discussions with software engineers, data teams, architects, and senior technical decision-makers. The role requires hands-on programming experience in at least one language among Python, SQL, Scala, or Java, as well as experience building solutions with public-cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Additional qualifications include experience designing distributed data systems and cloud-native solutions, depth in a relevant domain such as data engineering or machine learning, and the ability to operate across multiple accounts with pace and autonomy. Business proficiency in both French and English is required, and fluency in Italian or Spanish is considered a strong plus. The position also involves a willingness to travel up to twenty to thirty percent of the time.
