(Senior/Staff) Platform Engineer

Overview

Duna is hiring a Senior or Staff Platform Engineer to join its remote-first team. The mission of the company is to redefine identity for the global economy, supported by investors such as CapitalG and Index Ventures, alongside leaders from companies like Stripe, Adyen, and OpenAI. The infrastructure is considered part of the product, as enterprise customers rely on the security, reliability, and auditability provided by the platform.

Requirements

Applicants need senior experience as a platform, DevOps, site reliability, infrastructure, or cloud engineer, with demonstrated depth in cloud infrastructure including Kubernetes, networking, and infrastructure as code in production. Candidates should have previous time at a startup or scale-up where they owned problems from start to finish, along with the confidence to make decisions and push back when necessary. Experience improving developer experience, working in regulated environments such as fintech, payments, or identity, and an interest in security or observability are considered strong pluses. The technology stack relies on AWS and Kubernetes with Terraform, Postgres, and RabbitMQ, as well as a Node.js and TypeScript product stack built on event sourcing, though candidates are not expected to have used every tool beforehand.
