Senior Sales Engineer - Majors (UK/Nordics/Netherlands)

Overview

Datadog is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer for Majors focusing on the UK, Nordics, and Netherlands. This remote role operates within Europe, serving as a trusted technical advisor and strategic partner to customers and sales teams. Responsibilities include owning the evaluation experience end-to-end, leading technical strategy across accounts alongside account executives, conducting product demonstrations and workshops, and driving technical evaluations.

Requirements

Applicants must bring at least seven years of experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, or another technical customer-facing role within an enterprise setting. Candidates need an advanced background in public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, alongside expertise in Kubernetes, APM and tracing, security, developer experience, and observability. Additional qualifications include experience displacing entrenched incumbents, a consultative problem-solving approach, demonstrated depth in managing a small number of large organizations over long horizons, and experience using AI tooling. Candidates should also possess communication skills tailored for technical, business, and executive audiences, experience mentoring peers, a growth mindset, and a willingness to travel as needed for customer engagements.
