Overview

The Physical AI team at Coreweaveu is seeking a Senior Applied Researcher to join their operations in London, United Kingdom. This hands-on position operates at the intersection of advanced cloud infrastructure and applied data science, utilizing machine learning to address complex physics and engineering challenges. The role involves transforming how industrial products like automotive systems, aircraft, and advanced batteries are developed and tested.

Requirements

Candidates should possess professional background in data science, machine learning, or applied AI through industry experience or applied research. Applicants need strong programming skills in Python alongside practical experience with scientific computing and machine learning libraries such as NumPy, pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow. A solid foundation in statistical modeling, experimentation, evaluation, and working with time-series or high-dimensional real-world datasets is necessary.

The position requires familiarity with moving models from experimentation into production environments, as well as the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and client-facing teams. Preferred qualifications include a STEM background in engineering, physics, chemistry, or related disciplines, alongside experience with anomaly detection, optimization, reliability-focused modeling, autonomous systems, and MLOps practices.
