Red Team Security Engineer

Overview

Gomotive is hiring a Red Team Security Engineer to join the Product Security Team. In this role, you will serve as the primary security partner for software and engineering teams, evaluating the overall security posture of the organization. Your core responsibilities include planning and executing red team operations, targeted security assessments, and adversary simulations focused on cloud environments. You will also assess detection and response coverage by exercising monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes alongside blue team and detection engineering functions, while tracking emerging attacker techniques and cloud exploitation trends.

Requirements

Applicants must have five or more years of experience in offensive security, penetration testing, red teaming, and detection validation. Candidates need familiarity with attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures, along with the ability to map findings to frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK. You should possess the capability to write concise, actionable reports and communicate complex technical issues to varied stakeholders. Relevant industry certifications such as OSCP, OSEP, GXPN, GPEN, or cloud security certifications are also required. Additionally, applicants must be authorized to receive and access commodities and technologies controlled under U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
