Mercy Corps Senior Compensation & Benefits Advisor Job 2026: Human Resources Career Opportunity
Overview
Mercy Corps is recruiting a Senior Compensation and Benefits Advisor, EU and Strategic Initiatives, within its People Team. The full-time post can be based in the United Kingdom or the Netherlands, with a preference for the Netherlands, and offers flexible working from home. Occasional travel to support country programmes may be needed. The starting salary is 70,920 euros in the Netherlands or 60,030 pounds in the United Kingdom, with the final hiring range based on professional experience.
The advisor helps shape compensation and benefits across European jurisdictions while supporting wider global initiatives. Work includes designing and implementing salary structures, pay policies, grading frameworks and benefits strategies, supporting performance-related pay and total rewards programmes, and benchmarking against market data to judge whether pay ranges remain appropriate. Data and reporting support recommendations to HR leadership, and the role may also contribute to global mobility, employment-law compliance, workforce planning and HR dashboards.
Requirements
The post is aimed at an experienced HR professional with at least five years of relevant compensation and benefits experience. Expertise in total rewards, salary benchmarking and job evaluation is expected, and knowledge of European employment practices is valuable. Candidates should analyze market information, develop practical recommendations and communicate clearly with stakeholders. Project management, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, change management and organizational design skills also help.
Because the role works across countries and time zones, comfort with virtual collaboration is important. Applicants need appropriate work authorization for the United Kingdom or the Netherlands.
What you get
Specific benefits depend on employment location and local terms. Mercy Corps is an international humanitarian organization working with communities facing crises, and its People Team develops compensation, benefits, learning and workforce strategies across its operating countries.
How to apply
Applicants should submit a CV showing compensation and benefits experience, including reward strategy, benchmarking, performance management, analytics and international or European HR work.
