Overview

Robin Radar, a technology company that tracks and classifies small objects, is hiring a Junior Production Engineer for its operations team in Delft. Its radars and software help prevent bird strikes in aviation, reduce the effect of wind farms on wildlife and protect critical infrastructure from drone threats, and are used at airports, wind farms, military sites and nature reserves around the world. The company ranks among the ten fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands and has a team of more than 30 nationalities.

The engineer helps diagnose and solve technical problems on the factory floor, working alongside Operations, Engineering, Project Management and Quality to keep assembly running smoothly. The role reports to the Team Lead Production Engineering, and the work directly affects product reliability and output speed.

What you will do

Responsibilities include reviewing and updating work instructions under the guidance of a senior engineer and standardising assembly steps, assisting in diagnosing mechanical, electrical and possible software issues, and documenting findings in quality alerts and carrying out corrective actions. The engineer also keeps accurate assembly records, supports new product introductions by preparing workstations and documentation, sets up assembly processes, conducts time studies to improve line efficiency and maintains tools and fixtures. Participation in 5S, standard work and Kaizen initiatives is expected, along with compliance with ESD practices and safety rules.

Requirements

Applicants should hold a vocational level 4 or bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant technical field and have one to three years of experience in high-tech manufacturing or assembly. Basic knowledge of electronics, mechatronics, PCBs and electrical diagrams is needed, together with familiarity with measuring equipment such as oscilloscopes and VNAs, fluent English, meticulous attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on attitude. A certificate of conduct and a background check are part of the screening process.

What you get

The package includes a comprehensive pension plan, a commuting allowance, 30 days of paid holiday with the option to buy three more, training and certification opportunities, high-quality equipment, and an international team with social events and Friday drinks. The company is certified as a Great Place to Work.
