Java Software Engineer

Overview

Imc offers an employment opportunity for a Java Software Engineer based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The role involves working within multidisciplinary teams alongside risk teams, traders, and other engineers to deliver challenging projects. Responsibilities include managing the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to production, and writing reliable, high-performance software while balancing quality, testability, and time to production.

Requirements

Applicants must have at least 5 or more years of experience as a software engineer, along with strong programming skills in Java 17 or newer, with experience in the latest versions of Java being highly desirable. Candidates need familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes, and must be comfortable working in Linux environments. Additional requirements include experience in gathering business requirements, communicating with key stakeholders, delivering solutions quickly, and possessing the ability to work on greenfield projects under minimal supervision with full ownership of built applications. Applicants are also required to hold a passport that is valid for business trips to the United States using ESTA and to Australia using an ETA, eVisitor, or visa.
