IT Operations Lead - Banking

Overview

Eggai is hiring an IT Operations Lead for a banking transformation programme focused on replacing a core banking system and incorporating agentic generative AI workloads. This initiative requires defining operational readiness for go-live, proving it at regulatory gates, and shaping a new operating model that integrates classical banking infrastructure with probabilistic AI systems. The position is a lead or principal role reporting to the Programme Plan and Execution Lead.

Requirements

Applicants need at least 10 years of experience leading IT operations teams, including operating L1, L2, and L3 support within SRE, platform reliability, or infrastructure organizations with direct reports and providers. Candidates must have a background in aligning operations with development, engineering, and business goals, introducing service level objectives and error budgets into organizations, and possessing deep infrastructure knowledge. Additional requirements include experience in incident management with actionable post-incident reviews, and work within regulated financial services or similarly audited environments. Familiarity with managed service providers and complex multi-stakeholder programmes is also necessary. Experience with LLM or agentic system operations and core banking or payments exposure is considered valuable.
