Overview
Human Rights Here (HRH) is recruiting members for its international Editorial Team. HRH is affiliated with the Netherlands Network for Human Rights Research and has published scholarship and commentary on contemporary human rights issues since 2019. The role is fully remote, voluntary and part-time, requiring roughly 2 to 4 hours per week, and is not paid employment.
What the role involves
Editorial Team members review submissions and give constructive feedback, applying their human rights expertise to help keep published material at a high standard of quality and relevance. They also help with outreach and partnership development, work with other editors, and help connect academic research with human rights practice.
Who can apply
The team wants human rights scholars at PhD candidacy level or above, and human rights practitioners at any level of seniority. Applicants need a strong commitment to human rights, excellent written English, experience writing or editing in English, and expertise in human rights or a related field. Relevant areas include business and human rights, artificial intelligence and human rights, climate justice and public international law. Applicants must be able to commit about 2 to 4 hours each week.
