Overview
ALIMA is seeking a Project Coordinator to lead a humanitarian project in Bahaï, Ennedi Est, Chad. The role involves overall management and implementation of a programme supporting Sudanese refugees and host communities in the Bahaï district, operating around the Ouré Cassoni refugee camp and Bahaï district hospital. The programme focuses on healthcare, nutrition, food security, and water services, with an emphasis on women, girls, and children under five. Responsibilities include overseeing the project from implementation to reporting, managing project teams, monitoring budgets and logistics, ensuring safety and risk management, and representing the organisation with authorities and partners. The contract lasts 6 to 12 months with the possibility of renewal, and the start date is as soon as possible.
Who can apply
Applicants should be medical professionals, particularly suited to a medical doctor, with previous experience in an equivalent position within an international humanitarian organisation. Candidates need experience working in emergency settings or challenging security environments, managing multicultural teams, and working under pressure. A medical or paramedical qualification or previous experience managing medical projects is an advantage. Strong organisational, analytical, and independent decision-making skills are required. What you get
The successful candidate receives a salary determined by the organisation salary grid, professional experience, and an applicable per diem. The position includes travel from the employee home country to the mission, provided accommodation, and medical coverage for the employee and eligible dependants. Evacuation arrangements are also available for the employee and eligible dependants. The contract follows French law and runs for an initial 6 to 12 months with renewal possibilities.
