Data Engineer

Overview

Veezu is offering a full-time Data Engineer position based at the Cardiff headquarters. The role involves building and maintaining the data platform that supports analytics, reporting, and data science across the company. The position operates on a hybrid work model requiring three days per week in the office.

What you get

The role involves hands-on work with modern data tools including Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Python, PySpark, and Power BI to ingest information from booking systems, databases, and third-party APIs into modelled datasets. Visa sponsorship may be offered for suitable candidates.

Requirements

Applicants must have two to four years of experience in a data engineering role, alongside strong SQL capabilities and hands-on familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse and Data Factory. The position requires proficiency in Python and PySpark for data ingestion and transformation, experience integrating external APIs, and knowledge of dimensional modelling, data warehousing, and Kimball methodology. Candidates should also bring experience working with Power BI and semantic models, data quality testing, source control via Git, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
