Chief of Staff, CFO

Overview

Airwallex is seeking a Chief of Staff, CFO to work directly with the Group CFO, CEO, executive team, and investors. This full-time position is based in the London office. The role places the successful candidate as the CFO's right hand across the Finance and Corporate Development, People and Talent, and global Operations divisions.

Requirements

Applicants need proven experience with a foundation in top-tier strategy consulting, private equity, or investment banking, alongside a preference for in-house experience in a fast-growth environment. Candidates must have strong financial acumen, including the ability to build models, read a profit and loss statement and balance sheet fluently, and frame decisions in unit economics and return on investment. A track record of leading complex, cross-functional programmes to completion is required.

Preferred qualifications include prior experience as a Chief of Staff to a C-suite executive, experience in payments, cross-border or other regulated financial services businesses, and experience with mergers and acquisitions or corporate finance such as fundraising. Additional preferred backgrounds involve building executive events or communities and an entrepreneurial streak demonstrated by founding a business or side project.
