Backend Engineer

Overview

Blockvora is hiring a Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, data models, and integrations with blockchain and third-party systems. This is a permanent, experienced professional role based in Zug, Switzerland, with remote work allowed across global time zones. Visa sponsorship may be offered for suitable candidates.

Requirements

Applicants must have at least three years of backend engineering experience along with strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Node.js, TypeScript, Rust, Go, Java, Python, or Ruby. The role also requires experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, as well as caching, a solid understanding of REST APIs and system design basics, experience integrating external APIs or microservices, strong coding fundamentals, and production debugging skills. Additional familiarity with multiple backend languages, Web3 integrations, event-driven or distributed systems, AWS, GCP, fintech, or consulting is considered a plus.
