Software Engineer Intern
Overview
Sonio offers a software engineering internship based at the Paris office. The organization applies artificial intelligence to improve prenatal screening and diagnosis, aiming to help practitioners reduce diagnostic errors and optimize medical paths for pregnant women. Interns join the tech team to build software and AI-driven tooling that supports prenatal care, focusing on internal tools that facilitate the creation of test and demo environments.
Who can apply
Candidates must be final-year students in an engineering school or pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, and they must be seeking a six-month end-of-studies internship. Applicants should have a genuine interest in the organization mission of improving fetal and maternal health through artificial intelligence.
Requirements
Applicants need to be comfortable working with JavaScript and TypeScript alongside some knowledge of Playwright. Candidates must also understand the basics of APIs, containers, and CI pipelines, while maintaining curiosity regarding LLM-based tooling such as agents, tool calling, and MCP. Visa sponsorship may be offered for suitable candidates.
What you get
The internship lasts for six months and involves tasks such as studying real DICOM Structured Reports from various ultrasound manufacturers to create realistic SRs for testing, rebuilding an internal ultrasound machine simulator from scratch, and integrating the simulator into a broader AI-piloted tool that simulates user interactions for demos, test preparation, and configuration experiments.
Key dates
The start date is as soon as possible for a duration of six months.
