Software Engineer Apprentice - Connect

Overview

Mirakl, a marketplace technology company with dual headquarters in Boston and Paris, is offering a Software Engineer apprenticeship in Paris, starting in January or February 2027. The apprentice joins a Mirakl Labs team working on Mirakl Connect, alongside software engineers, a product manager and a QA engineer. These teams own their products end to end, from design and development to delivering high-quality features for the company's SaaS platform, which clients use around the world. A software architect acts as mentor and supports the apprentice's technical growth and engineering practices.

What you will do

Duties include taking part in design sessions with the squad, the product manager and the UX and UI teams to shape and scope new features; developing, testing and shipping code to production through continuous delivery; joining code reviews and pair programming; monitoring and debugging production issues in a you build it, you run it spirit; and contributing to agile ceremonies and the Labs product roadmap.

Who can apply

Candidates should be enrolled in an engineering school or university with a focus on web or software development, and have some hands-on development experience from an internship, school project, personal project or earlier apprenticeship. A good grasp of Java and object-oriented programming is needed, familiarity with Spring Boot is a plus, and a strong interest in AI technologies is expected. Interest in databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB, curiosity about microservices, API design and cloud environments, and commitment to testing and clean code are also sought. Professional-level English and fluent French are required.

The stack includes Java 21 and Spring Boot on the back end, ReactJS on the front end, and Kafka, ElasticSearch and PostgreSQL for data, with CI/CD, Git, Docker and monitoring tools.
