ML Engineer - Internship

Overview

Alta Ares is offering an internship position for a Machine Learning Engineer to join the Data and AI team in Paris, France. The role focuses on contributing to the development of end-to-end machine learning pipelines, improving how computer vision models are trained, evaluated, and deployed, and working on internal AI infrastructure and model lifecycle management.

Who can apply

Applicants should have strong foundations in Python, data science, and machine learning, alongside knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. Candidates need the ability to analyze, visualize, and preprocess large-scale image and video datasets, as well as familiarity with experiment tracking tools like MLflow or Weights and Biases, and data versioning tools such as DVC. Additional requirements include an understanding of Docker, Git, and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP, the ability to work autonomously in a research and prototyping environment, and strong collaboration skills for a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

Responsibilities also include building reproducible workflows for dataset versioning, augmentation, and preprocessing of large-scale image and video datasets, contributing to deployment workflows for optimized AI models on edge devices and embedded systems, implementing tools to monitor deployed models, and documenting best practices with the team.
