Data Associate - Internship (6 months, flexible start)

Overview

Alan offers a six-month end-of-studies internship for a Data Associate based in Paris. The position features a flexible start date and is structured as part of the company's efforts to integrate insurance, prevention, and care. Data Associates are embedded in product or business crews alongside a senior member of the Data team, working on analytics, engineering, and science projects using tools such as SQL, Python, dbt, Airflow, and Metabase. The program is designed to evaluate interns at their five-month review for potential full-time employment at the end of the term.

What you get

Interns take on real project responsibilities by addressing business and product questions, framing problems, analyzing data, and delivering actionable recommendations. Participants also build end-to-end tools such as dbt models, weekly dashboards, and AI-powered applications with support from a senior mentor. Additionally, interns engage with the Data community through retrospectives, insight-sharing sessions, on-call shifts, and future recruitment efforts. Each participant receives guidance from a dedicated coach and a senior team member based at the office.

Requirements

Applicants must be located in Paris, France, and be able to work from the Valmy office at least four days per week. Candidates must be in their final year of engineering or business studies with a strong quantitative track and possess an internship agreement from their school. Practical experience with SQL and Python from school, previous internships, or independent projects is required, along with fluency in English. Ideal candidates demonstrate analytical rigor, business and product sense, effective communication skills, a high-agency growth mindset, and familiarity with AI tools.
