WWF Assistant Job 2026: Salary, Requirements, Responsibilities and How to Apply
Overview
World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is hiring a Senior Assistant, Forests, to support its Forest Team in the United States. The post is full-time with an hourly range of USD 28.35 to USD 35.44. Relocation assistance is not provided, and applicants must already be legally authorized to work in the United States because visa sponsorship is not available.
The assistant works closely with the Senior Executive Program Operations Specialist and supports Forest Team leaders and teams working on initiatives such as the Amazon, Infrastructure and Congo Basin portfolios. The role is administrative and operational rather than field-based, helping conservation teams run smoothly. WWF, founded in 1961, works in nearly 100 countries on protecting nature and biodiversity.
What you will do
The assistant manages calendars and schedules for the Forest Leadership Team and wider team, organizing meetings, presentations, retreats and events, including participants, spaces, equipment, catering and materials. Financial support includes processing credit-card transactions, invoices and reimbursements, coordinating coding with Program Operations and Accounting, tracking payments in Workday, and helping create consultancy, travel and grant agreements through SmartSimple. The assistant also keeps Forest Team intranet and digital sites current on SharePoint and Teams, coordinates travel for senior leaders including itineraries and visa checks, and handles general office tasks such as supplies, mailings, document production and basic IT help.
Requirements
Applicants need at least five years of progressively responsible administrative, clerical or office professional experience. A high school diploma is the minimum education and a bachelor's degree is preferred. Strong organization, the ability to prioritize competing requests, and comfort with Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Teams are valuable, as is experience with executive or international travel coordination.
