Overview

World Vision UK is recruiting an IT Project Test Assistant for a technology transformation project. The post is a three-month fixed-term contract based in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, under job reference JR51841. The work supports the rollout of a new customer relationship management system and is suited to graduates and early-career professionals interested in IT project administration.

World Vision is an international humanitarian organisation that works with children, families and communities affected by poverty, injustice and crises. Its UK team is based mainly in Milton Keynes, and it describes itself as an equal-opportunities employer that values a broad range of skills and backgrounds.

What you get

The salary is £25,080 per year. The role is full-time at 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although part-time working may be considered. The arrangement is hybrid: staff are expected in the Milton Keynes office at least three days a week, with one or two days possible from home. It is not a fully remote post.

What the role involves

The assistant supports testing of the new system, following test instructions and recording outcomes accurately. They also help create and maintain project documentation, including written documents, process information and diagrams, and prepare training materials and user-focused resources.

Other duties include keeping project records and inventories up to date, managing document version control so the right files are always available, and working alongside the wider project team. The assistant may also provide extra project or IT service support when needed.

Who can apply

Applicants do not need to be experienced IT professionals. Backgrounds in information technology, information systems, business or related subjects may be relevant, and relevant academic, internship, volunteering or administrative experience can also form a good basis for an application.

Requirements

The role calls for strong attention to detail, since testing and documentation depend on accuracy. Good written communication, organisational ability and time management are also valued, along with the ability to follow processes and work systematically with detailed information.
