UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and territories, and in Brazil its 2024-2028 Country Programme supports equitable and sustainable policies and programmes for vulnerable children and adolescents.

Under the Marketing Officer, the associate works with individual and high-value donor teams to support fundraising goals through content production, activations and fundraising events. They support online and offline campaigns that raise revenue and strengthen UNICEF's branding, and turn programme priorities into compelling propositions for private-sector and philanthropic partners.

Requirements

Applicants need completed secondary education and at least six years of relevant communications experience. A bachelor's degree from a recognized institution can replace three years of related experience, and a master's degree can replace an additional two. Demonstrated graphic design experience and knowledge of content creation and creative briefs are essential, together with confidence using creative software and AI-powered platforms. Fluent Portuguese and English are required. Basic Spanish is an asset, as is another UN official language such as Arabic, Chinese, French or Russian. Experience creating multimedia content for fundraising, and skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects and DRTV, strengthen an application. The role calls for collaboration, partnership building, innovation, strategic thinking and the ability to manage ambiguity and complexity.

Duties include technical supervision of the UNV Youth Partnership Report Creative Producer, including graphic design for donor reports and final approvals, supporting a regional creative digital strategy and DRTV creative strategy, producing infographics, carousels, posters, banners, cards, animated stories, call-to-action videos and b-roll, and adapting global materials for the Brazilian market. The associate also maintains UNICEF branding standards, prepares creative briefs, supports external providers and keeps campaign assets on SharePoint.

The post is assessed as elevated risk for child safeguarding, so additional vetting, including background and reference checks, may apply.
