UNICEF is seeking a Home-Based Content Management Consultant for its Bebbo Parenting Programme, part of the Global Programme Division and focused on Early Childhood Development. Bebbo is a free app that guides parents and caregivers from pregnancy through the early years, with evidence-based, age-tailored information on health, nutrition, responsive caregiving, play and early learning, child safety and protection, and parental well-being and mental health. It also lets caregivers record immunizations, growth and developmental milestones. The app works on iOS and Android, offline, and in multiple languages.

What the consultant does

Content for Bebbo is curated centrally in a Drupal-based content management system and then adapted and translated by participating countries. The consultant supports creating, editing, organizing, localizing, publishing and quality-checking content, including media, metadata, taxonomies, versions, translations and editorial workflows.

They also give remote support to country and field teams, troubleshooting problems, explaining workflows and coordinating follow-up, and they produce user guides, standard operating procedures, training materials, technical documentation, virtual demonstrations and technical clinics.

Requirements

Applicants need an advanced university degree in a field such as communications, marketing, digital media, information management, ICT, international development, social sciences or business administration. At least five years of experience in digital content management, content operations, digital communications, product support or knowledge management is required, including two years supporting content for a consumer-facing digital product, app or web platform, and more than two years of hands-on CMS work. Drupal experience is highly desirable.

Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of languages used in Bebbo countries, including Russian, Albanian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Shona, Spanish and Bangla, is an advantage. Experience with early childhood, health or education platforms, open-source solutions and multilingual content governance is also valued.
