Overview

UNICEF is seeking a REACH Process Reengineering Consultant (job number 595949) for a 12-month consultancy with the Global Programme Division's Results-Enabling Advisory and Capacity Hub (REACH). The duty station is New York, and the work is remote or home-based, with possible travel. REACH is described as the digital and operational backbone of a new Centre of Excellence business model, linking requests, workflows, expertise, knowledge, feedback and performance learning.

The consultant supports the transition as UNICEF folds REACH into the new operating model, turning business requirements and user input into documentation, communications, feedback summaries, trackers and recommendations.

What you do

The work covers mapping business processes, documenting workflows, finding operational bottlenecks and converting user needs into practical improvements. It also supports change management, communications, training, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, workshops, consultations, feedback loops and action tracking, so that REACH workflows are usable and match UNICEF needs.

Requirements

Applicants should hold a master's degree in a field such as organizational development, business administration, public administration, international development, social sciences, communications, change management, innovation, information systems or service design. A first-level degree plus two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted instead. At least five years of progressively responsible experience is needed in areas such as process improvement, business process analysis, organizational change, internal communications, digital transformation or programme coordination.

Strong facilitation, coordination, writing, synthesis and stakeholder-management skills are required, along with a strong command of Microsoft 365 collaboration tools. Experience with agile delivery, enterprise systems, ServiceNow or UN and development settings is an asset. Fluent English is required and another UN language is an advantage.

How to apply

Applicants submit an up-to-date UNICEF Talent Management System profile and CV, a cover letter and a separate financial proposal on UNICEF's template through the online recruitment portal. UNICEF charges no processing fees and does not ask for bank account information.

Key dates

The vacancy was advertised on September 28, 2026, and the deadline is October 8, 2026.
