Overview

Sentry, the application monitoring company used by more than 200,000 organizations, is hiring new graduate software engineers for 2027. The role is in the Engineering department and based in Vienna, Austria. New hires are placed on one of the SDK, Product or Ingest teams according to their interests and background. SDK teams work on code that runs inside popular developer frameworks, while Ingest handles the pipelines, including the open-source Relay and Symbolicator projects, that process millions of events every minute.

What you will do

Graduates are treated as engineers from the first day. They design, build and ship features and systems that deliver value to customers, own projects from design through to production, and receive regular feedback, coaching and mentorship from their manager and teammates. Onboarding includes structured training, a dedicated mentor, social events and a cohort of peers who start at the same time.

Requirements

Applicants should have recently completed, or be about to complete, an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field. At least one previous internship or comparable hands-on experience is expected, along with solid knowledge of algorithms and data structures and comfort with GitHub workflows such as branching, pull requests and code review. Proficiency in Python, JavaScript or a similar dynamic language is needed, together with the ability to pick up new languages quickly and experience collaborating on a team engineering project. Candidates must be available to start in 2027 and willing to relocate to Vienna.

What you get

The salary range is 75,000 to 80,000 euros a year, and the position offers equity. Relocation help is provided, including support with housing, and the standard company benefits programme applies. Visa sponsorship is considered case by case. This is a full-time position.
