Senior Staff Software Engineer, Agentic Platform

Overview

Tide is hiring a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the architecture of the agentic platform. The role involves shaping shared capabilities that enable AI systems to operate reliably, safely, and at scale across the organization. This includes overseeing context, orchestration, tool execution, trust controls, observability, and evaluation. Responsibilities also involve participating in build versus buy decisions, integrating external components, and ensuring ownership of core elements related to trust, data advantage, and platform leverage.

Requirements

Applicants should have deep experience in building platform or infrastructure systems at scale, alongside strong judgment across APIs, distributed systems, data, and cloud-native architecture. A track record of leading complex cross-team technical problems, experience integrating third-party platforms while maintaining core architectural control, and a strong understanding of reliability, security, and observability are necessary. While experience with AI platform components is valuable, it is not essential. Experience working in highly regulated industries such as fintech or healthtech, where compliance and safety are central to the product, is highly desirable.
