Senior Security Engineer, AI Platform and Infrastructure

Overview

Firmus Technologies is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for the AI Platform and Infrastructure team. The role focuses on owning both layers of the Firmus AI Cloud, which include the platform control plane built by engineering teams and the underlying bare-metal infrastructure. The position involves scaling ownership through automation across the platform and its operations.

Who can apply

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field. Applicants are required to have at least seven years of experience in infrastructure security, platform security, cloud security, site reliability engineering, or platform engineering with a strong focus on security. Professionals must have experience securing production bare-metal and on-premises infrastructure used by multiple teams or customers.

Requirements

Applicants need deep, practical knowledge of Kubernetes and container security for multi-tenant platforms, as well as experience running platform and workload identity in production. Candidates must have previously threat modelled production infrastructure using STRIDE or an equivalent method, and designed and tested isolation to prevent cross-tenant incidents from escapes or shared control planes. Understanding of hardware roots of trust, secure and measured boot, signed firmware, and remote attestation is also required.
