Senior Pricing Analyst

Overview

Laka is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to join its team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Founded in 2017, the company offers a collective insurance model designed to protect cyclists and expand into commercial partnerships across multiple countries. This role sits at the heart of the business, owning pricing across five markets for both direct-to-consumer and partner segments. The position involves defining pricing structures, developing pricing tools with engineering and data teams, and managing a Pricing Analyst.

Requirements

Applicants should have six or more years of experience in insurance pricing, including designing and launching rate changes. Candidates should ideally have experience pricing both direct-to-consumer and partner or business-to-business models. The role requires building pricing models in code using GLMs and GBMs in Python alongside SQL, as well as the ability to explain technical work simply to stakeholders. Experience managing or mentoring an analyst while remaining hands-on is necessary, along with familiarity using AI tools like Claude and Claude Code. Actuarial exams, proficiency in Dutch, German, or French, and an interest in cycling are considered plus points.
