Senior Data Modelling Consultant

Overview

Capco is hiring a Senior Data Modelling Consultant to join the Data and Analytics practice area on a permanent basis. The role is based in London with a hybrid work model. The position involves shaping and implementing enterprise-grade data models for top-tier financial services clients, driving business understanding, supporting large-scale data migrations, and delivering best-practice modelling solutions aligned to industry standards.

Requirements

Candidates need proven experience in financial services data modelling within data migration or architecture programmes, alongside a strong grasp of data modelling layers and standards including conceptual, logical, and physical. Applicants must be familiar with financial reference models such as fpML, FIX, or FIBO, and skilled in data model documentation, stakeholder engagement, and metadata practices. A solid understanding of RDBMS, UML, JSON and XML schemas, and project lifecycles is required, with an agile background preferred. Additional bonus points are awarded for hands-on experience with tools like Erwin, Sparx, or Visual Paradigm, working with ontologies and RDF, OWL, or TTL knowledge, Python or SQL scripting exposure, data governance and enterprise metadata integration knowledge, and a background in regulatory or compliance-related data transformation initiatives.
