Overview

Global Greengrants Fund is hiring a Program Manager to coordinate global programmes that support grassroots movements, climate action, and environmental justice. This full-time remote role involves managing programme activities across the organization's Energy, Earth, and Equity impact areas. The position operates within a weekly schedule of 40 hours and requires roughly four to eight weeks of annual travel both internationally and within the United States.

Who can apply

This opportunity is open to applicants who can legally work in their country of residence and collaborate across multiple time zones. The organization prefers candidates from Global Majority countries and those from historically underrepresented groups such as women, transgender, non-binary, and intersex individuals, persons with disabilities, and Black, Brown, and other people of color. UK-based candidates cannot be considered for this appointment through Global Greengrants Fund, Inc. Applicants must be fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages considered an advantage.

What you get

The position offers a United States-based minimum salary offer of $102,800 per year, with international salaries determined by local pay scales and internal policies. Benefits include group medical and life insurance, retirement savings contributions, 20 vacation days, 15 sick days, four personal days, and up to 11 paid public holidays. Flexible work options and remote or hybrid arrangements are also provided.

Requirements

Applicants need significant experience working with justice-centred organizations that support grassroots movements, with backgrounds in fields like environmental justice, climate justice, feminist movements, human rights, philanthropy, or grantmaking. The role requires a strong understanding of climate justice, structural inequalities, and grassroots funding approaches. Candidates must possess proven experience in programme or project planning, coordination, and implementation, along with strong financial management skills for budget preparation and expenditure tracking. Additional expectations include strong organizational capabilities, strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to use digital tools for remote collaboration. Relevant certificates or courses in project management, programme design, or evaluation are advantageous, as is experience supporting growing organizations.

How to apply

Candidates must submit their applications through the official recruitment platform. The application process requires uploading a current CV and completing a mandatory questionnaire via Rippling, while a traditional cover letter is not required. All materials must be in English. Applications may be reviewed on a rolling basis, and the vacancy might close early if a high volume of responses is received.

Key dates

The application deadline is November 1, 2026, with the source noting a closing time of 23:00 Mountain Time or 23:59 GMT-5, which applicants should confirm directly on the official recruitment platform.
