Overview

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Software Developer/Analyst for its global Monitoring, Evaluation, Technology, Accountability and Learning (METAL) Unit. The full-time hybrid role can be based in Nairobi (Kenya), London (United Kingdom) or New York (USA). IRC was founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, operates in more than 40 countries and 29 US cities, and delivers support in health, education, economic recovery, protection, governance and emergency response. METAL supports evidence-based decision-making through monitoring and evaluation systems, data collection and management platforms, business intelligence, technology innovation and organisational learning.

What the role involves

The developer joins the CRRD Data and Analytics Team and reports to the Technology Development Lead, working with product managers, developers, quality assurance specialists, project managers and IT teams. They design and build PowerApps applications and Power Automate workflows, support organisation-wide data platforms, maintain and improve existing software, write technical documentation and implementation guides, ensure data quality and governance, provide Tier-2 and Tier-3 support, support systems integration, translate business requirements into technical tasks, join pilots and rollouts, support data security, and help set development standards and quality assurance practices.

Requirements

Applicants need at least five years of experience developing and deploying technology solutions, at least three years with Microsoft PowerApps, strong Power Automate expertise, and experience with Databricks, Azure technologies, Azure SQL, Dataverse, APIs and integrations. Proficiency with GitHub or Azure DevOps, strong testing and quality assurance practices and experience supporting large, complex data systems are needed. A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or a related field is required, and professional certifications are desirable, with Microsoft Power Platform certifications an additional advantage. Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills are essential.

What you get

Published salary ranges are USD 85,000 to USD 95,000 annually in the United States and GBP 46,780 to GBP 55,552 annually in the United Kingdom.
