IDinsight is a global nonprofit that uses data, evidence and technology to improve lives, partnering with governments, NGOs, foundations and multilateral institutions on solutions that reduce poverty and improve public services. It works in Asia and Africa across education, health, agriculture, governance, sanitation and financial inclusion. It is seeking a Chief Strategy and Scale Officer to join its Global Executive Team and lead strategic growth, innovation and large-scale impact. The officer reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
The role covers long-term strategic planning, leading annual planning and monitoring organizational performance, working with the Board of Directors and executive leadership, driving large-scale growth and identifying new expansion opportunities, building partnerships with governments, donors and international organizations, supporting the use of artificial intelligence and other technologies in programmes, and representing IDinsight at conferences and thought leadership events.
Who can apply
IDinsight seeks an accomplished executive with at least 12 to 15 years of experience leading organizations or major programmes in international development. Ideal candidates have led organizational growth, raised funds from major international donors, have strong strategic planning and executive leadership skills, have worked with boards and senior stakeholders, communicate well, have operated in low- and middle-income countries and are committed to evidence-based decision-making. Experience with mergers and acquisitions, AI implementation, evaluation or data science is an added advantage.
What you get
The position is based in one of the regional offices in Dakar, Senegal; Delhi, India; Lusaka, Zambia; Manila, Philippines; Nairobi, Kenya; or Rabat, Morocco. It is not remote, and candidates not already based in one of those countries are expected to relocate. IDinsight can sponsor employment visas for exceptional international candidates, though it prefers people who already have work authorization.
