DT Global Is Hiring: Climate Finance Officer Opportunity for Early-Career Professionals in 2026
Overview
DT Global is recruiting a Climate Finance Officer for its Climate Finance Capacity Support Programme, aimed at new graduates and early-career professionals. DT Global Asia Pacific works with governments, communities and stakeholders across Asia and the Pacific, and the programme is delivered for MFAT to meet the needs of Pacific Island countries. It supports flexible climate finance delivery and reporting, national climate change plans, investment-ready project pipelines, implementation of climate priorities and access to a broader range of international climate funding.
What the role involves
The officer supports the Director for Climate Action and the Climate Action Project Manager in coordinating climate finance activities within the Climate Action Division, contributing to climate finance mechanisms, policy development, project implementation, reporting, research and technical assistance. The aim is to help countries turn climate priorities into finance-ready initiatives.
Who can apply
Applicants need a diploma, bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as management, finance, business, climate change management or environmental management. Strong analytical, research, technical writing, communication, stakeholder engagement, organisational and problem-solving skills are required, and fluency in English and Naoero is listed as essential. Two to seven years of relevant experience is desirable. Knowledge of international climate finance, UNFCCC processes, the Green Climate Fund and the issues affecting Naoero and the Pacific is an advantage, as is experience working with governments, development partners, NGOs and communities.
