Overview
The United Nations Population Fund is offering a fully remote consultancy position titled Humanitarian Admin and Surge Consultant within its Humanitarian Response Division. This role contributes to the EU-funded Sexual and Reproductive Health in Emergencies and Life in Dignity project. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Surge Manager, with overall guidance from the Humanitarian Response Division Director. The initial contract duration is six months, and any renewal is subject to performance and funding availability. No travel is expected for this position.

Applicants must hold an advanced university degree, such as a Master’s degree or equivalent, in Human Resource Management, International Relations, Humanitarian Affairs, Social Sciences, or another relevant discipline. Candidates are required to have a minimum of two years of professional experience in rapid recruitment, roster management, emergency deployment operations, or a closely related area within humanitarian or international development settings. Applicants must also be fluent in English. A working knowledge of French, Spanish, or Arabic is considered an advantage.
Requirements
Candidates must have experience with candidate tracking systems, HR databases, and online roster platforms. Practical knowledge of UN administrative procedures, travel logistics, and enterprise resource planning systems such as Quantum is advantageous, and experience with the Buyer function in Quantum is a strong asset. Previous experience with the United Nations Population Fund, other United Nations agencies, or Standby Partner organizations is highly desirable. Additionally, applicants must possess strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities, intercultural communication skills, professional writing skills, the capacity to work in fast-paced environments, and strong attention to detail.
